When Worlds Collide

A short from the Famous Nameless and the Space2Cre8 project, this video consists of 4 Acts; Acts 1 and 3 were created by students in California, and Acts 2 and 4 were created by students in New York. It began with a short piece from California about a teenage stereotyping shared on the Space2cre8 network, but with little context for viewing/understanding the piece, it was [mis]interpreted and and remixed by students in New York. This open-interpretative back and forth between the students continued in Acts 3 and 4. I have presented extensively on this “video dialogue” as an example of how we might think about online literacy practices, visual literacies, and digital aesthetics in the context of teaching and learning.
